KickDrum invites you to / vous invites à...

Dance Yrself Clean at The Diving Bell Social Club!
We've got three kick-ass femme-fronted bands together to soundtrack the dance party of yr dreams..........

Fronted by Mar Meredith, For Esmé is an unabashedly feminist exploration of self-love and the courage of conviction in uncertain times. Refracting light through dark places, Righteous Woman (2018) invokes the urgent and personal to reflect on and reposition the multitudes of womanhood, push back against the patriarchy, and offer the possibility of living on one's own terms. For Esmé is a 5 piece band bringing a dynamic, dance-worthy set to the stage. Huge sound, intimate moments, 5 part harmonies, and grooves to get you on the dance floor.

Toronto-based duo Featurette was formed by singer Lexie Jay and drummer, Jon Fedorsen. Like their synth-heavy dream pop contemporaries Phantogram and Tove Lo, Featurette is influenced by the emotionally charged, heavy hitting electro-pop sounds coming from Northern Europe and New Zealand. This September Featurette launched their second single from their sophomore album: Don’t Know Me without You, the full album will be released January, 2020.

Nōva, born and raised in the city of Montreal, Canada, music reaches deep into the singer-songwriter’s soul and influences every aspect of her life. Classically trained in violin since the age of 7 and voice since the age of 12, experience, dedication, and creativity are not lacking. Nōva’s song “Heavy Hitters” obtained the #1 spot on the Correspondent radio charts in Quebec and sets the scene for more her music, soon to be released.
